Iglesia Bautista de Glenview

Iglesia Bautista de Glenview is a Baptist Christian congregation located in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Founded in 1976, it serves as an active faith community within the southern region of the island, emphasizing biblical teaching, worship, and community outreach. The church is part of the Convención Iglesias Bautistas del Sur de Puerto Rico, connecting it to other Baptist congregations across the territory.

Iglesia Bautista de Glenview is guided by the conviction that the Bible is the sole and infallible authority for faith and practice. Its doctrinal foundation affirms belief in the Trinity, salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and the importance of regeneration and sanctification. The church upholds baptism by immersion and the observance of the Lord’s Supper as key ordinances of the faith.

The congregation is led by Pastor Joel Martínez, continuing a legacy of local ministry rooted in evangelical Baptist tradition. Activities include family groups, youth and children’s camps, and spiritual education programs such as its Instituto Bíblico. Events like “Campamento de Niños” and choral celebrations underscore the church’s focus on fellowship and worship.

Employing around ten staff members, the church sustains a modest local presence with an estimated annual revenue of approximately USD 330,000. Services and gatherings are primarily held on Fridays, with the facilities located along Route 505 at Entrada Barrio Cassava Km 1.2, Ponce 00731.

Beyond serving as a house of worship, Iglesia Bautista de Glenview functions as a community center fostering personal growth and spiritual healing, exemplified by support ministries such as “Sanando el Corazón Herido.” Its commitment to scriptural teaching and compassionate service continues to make it a notable institution in the Christian life of Ponce.
