Spirit and Truth BVI is a non-denominational Christian church based in Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands. The congregation emphasizes discipleship, biblical teaching, and community impact through worship and outreach ministries across the islands. It serves as a growing fellowship seeking to develop committed followers of Jesus Christ through intentional teaching and service.
The church’s mission is to “Go,” making disciples of Jesus Christ in accordance with Matthew 28:19–20. Its vision is to see families, workplaces, and communities transformed by the Holy Spirit’s presence within believers, resulting in cultural renewal rooted in Christian faith.
Spirit and Truth BVI identifies as a self-governing, Bible-based fellowship allowing Scripture to guide its organization and practices. Its recognized symbol, the Blood-Stained Dove, represents peace, hope, purification, and the Holy Spirit—mirroring the meaning of “Tortola,” or “Turtle Dove.” The church maintains a Christ-centered approach guided by five core commitments: Christocentrism, Christian discipleship, cultural appraisal, conversion, and community relevance.
Founded under the leadership of Devon Penn, Lead Planter and Senior Pastor, the church pursues ministry through expository preaching, Bible teaching, evangelism, and community service. Activities include Sunday worship, weekly Bible studies, and outreach programs designed to nurture faith and social well-being.
Spirit and Truth BVI operates from the Quastisky Building Basement on Fishlock Road in Road Town, Tortola. It provides regular worship gatherings on Sundays and mid-week teaching sessions, welcoming both residents and visitors of the British Virgin Islands to participate in its mission of learning, loving, and living the teachings of Christ.
